Here he is, my baby boy, going to bed for the last time ever as a five year old... holding "Boy Patches" and "Girl Patches"...
And waking up as a six year old!
Adam and I blew up over 100 balloons. The kids called their bedroom "Balloon World" and spent half the day playing wild jumping games in there.
For breakfast Hogan requested Bacon, Sausage, and M&M Pancakes.
We spent all day celebrating Hogan. Lauralee was so sweet and made sure she made up the bed and picked up all the toys so her best bud could relax and enjoy his special day.
For his birthday dinner Hogan requested Bacon Pizza, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pull Apart Bread. And for dessert... Funfetti Cookie Cake!
Before bed we opened presents. Lauralee had spent HOURS working on a very elaborate, multifaceted card for Hogan. It had multiple envelopes filled with various craft activities she planned for him, stickers for him to color, sequins, pictures she colored. She worked so hard on it. She had me write, "I will never stop loving you with all my heart". Hogan was so sweet opening it. He spent 5 minutes looking through everything and telling Lauralee how much he loved it. She was so proud. I love our sweet children.
Hogan's favorite category of gifts this year... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Leonardo is his favorite :)
