Happy Halloween

This year we have a Jedi (Anakin Skywalker), and three Princesses (Princess Lauralee, Princess Maryann, and Princess Caroline).  Here they are getting ready to go to Trunk or Treat.

Pretty Girls

Caroline Mallory Trinque - 1 Year Old

Our sweet, 1 year old Caroline Mallory is so full of personality and fun.  She has eight teeth, blue eyes, and golden hair.  She is still working on walking but has taken five steps at a time.  She loves playing with her big brother and sisters.  And they love playing with her!  Maryann goes into her bedroom every morning and takes care of her until I get in there.  Her favorite word is "Go!".  She never wants to be left behind.  She eats everything she gets her hands on, especially paper.  She already likes to draw.  She nurses once during the night.  She loves toast, cheese, avocado, blueberries, pears, pizza, and meat.  She likes to yell at me... when she's happy, when she's excited, when she's mad, and when she's sad.  She gives high fives and the absolute sweetest kisses.  She gives me more kisses than any of my babies ever have.  The big, full on, open mouth, baby kisses.  She is a Mama's girl.  But she is also pretty obsessed with Lauralee.  If I am gone, Lauralee is her Mama.  She loves lollipops.  When she goes to MayMay and PopPop's she heads straight for the snack shelf and helps herself.  She is always smiling.  When I turn on the blender she covers her ears.  She loves to play peek-a-boo, climb, and empty out her siblings desks.  She pushes around the baby doll stroller, throws her water bottle with wild abandon when she is finished with it.  She loves shoes and necklaces and her Mama's makeup.  She makes us smile and laugh ALL the time.

Our Baby Boy Isn't a Baby

Hogan turned 7 this year.  Man, oh man, we sure love our little man.  He is so smart, brave, sweet, kind, and fun.  He is the BEST big brother!  I wish I had a big brother like him when I was growing up.  He dotes on his sisters and takes such good care of them.  He is devouring chapter books.  He loves to read.  He reads at least two chapter books a week.  His favorite chapter books to read to himself right now are the Boxcar Children, Magic Tree House, Adventures in Odyssey, Hank the Cow Dog and probably others that I can't think of.  When I get up every morning he is already sitting in the rocking chair in the living room, reading a book.  We love to read together and it is so fun to have someone who gets as excited about a good book as I do.  He is so interesting to talk to and so fun to be around.  Star Wars, Ninja Turtles, Ninjas, and Camo are his favorite things right now.  He is all boy and jumps at the chance to do boy stuff with Daddy.  He loves camping and fishing.  He loves soccer.  And most importantly, he loves Jesus.  He spent a lot of time at Disney this year and can tell you the ins and outs of every park.  He zooms around on his bike at lightening speed.  He loves jumping on the trampoline and playing legos.  The kid really loves legos.  He, Lauralee, and Maryann are best friends and have so much fun playing together.  But he and Lauralee really have a special bond.  I hope they are always this close to each other.  He has the sweetest heart and truly wants to make everyone happy.  I love him so much.  He is my son and has a special place in my heart that no one else could fill.

Be still my heart!

Look at this little girl.  There she is... bright and early...and ONE year old.  I just love her so much.

She is such a feisty, opinionated little thing.  She yells every morning when she wakes up and either MK or L run in there to keep her company until I get there.  She has us all wrapped around her little finger.  That tired little face makes me laugh.

We went to Co-op on her birthday and everyone sang her "Happy Birthday".  She is so much fun and has such a wonderful personality.  I love watching it unfold.

We celebrated the big day at MayMay and PopPop's house.  The bow never lasts very long...

She got her very first baby doll.  We named her Annie.  I think Caroline loves her :)

Caroline has a Mama and Daddy who absolutely adore her!

We finally gave in a did a smash cake.  But is was a healthy one... :)

Happy First Birthday to our sweet, funny, cuddly, kissable Caroline Mallory.  You are loved!!!
