Alpaca Farm

We went on a field trip to an Alpaca farm.  It was pretty interesting.  The kids got to see different kinds of Alpacas and feed them as well as see how their hair is woven using a spinning wheel and different things made using Alpaca hair.  Hogan was very determined to feed the Alpacas, who were not all that interested at first.  He followed them around holding out the hay and finally found some hungry ones.  He looks so grown up.

When it was time to leave Maryann threw her very first "throw myself on the ground and kick and scream tantrum".  Luckily I already had the camera out so now it's a moment we will never forget ;)

Happy Valentine's Day

We busted out our Valentine's Day mailboxes again this year and Hogan and Lauralee got really into it.  We were all showered daily with wonderful, sweet cards and notes filled with love.  Each day leading up to Valentines day I left them a little love note telling them something I love about them in their box, and a little treat if they were especially lucky.  We went to a fun Valentine's Day party with Home Circle and had our own Valentine's Day party here.

These are the Valentine's that H and L gave to all their friends at Co-op...

And these are the Valentine's the kids gave to family members...

Adam and I have a rule about not spending money on Valentine's Day... actually on pretty much every day of the year.  But this year we each secretly decided to splurge.  Here is the gift I got for Adam.

And great minds must think alike because he gave me a can of pecans :)  And a really sweet love note.  He's a keeper!!!

Picking Strawberries with PopPop

PopPop invited the kids to go strawberry picking with him.  They are so blessed to have a great grandfather like PopPop... and they love him SO much!

This was MK's first time picking strawberries.  She sure is a cute little worker!

When they were done picking they got to feed the cows vegetables.  Maryann LOVED the cows.  She stared at them for 10 minutes and barked at them since she doesn't know how to "moo" yet.
