Week Two

Maryann Katherine is rocking "Tummy Time"!  Look at this little girl hold up her head.

Maryann Katherine is really alert.  When we hold her on with her head on our shoulder she lifts it up and looks all around.  She loves to stare at the paintings on the living room walls and she is really interested in Hogan and Lauralee.  She smiles a lot.  When she sleeps she looks like she is laughing in her dreams.  I love it.

Thanksgiving 2011

I had big plans for this Thanksgiving Season but needless to say most of them fell to the wayside with everything that was going on. However, we did do our thankful door.  Hogan and Lauralee have a lot to be thankful for and they know it :)

We had a really yummy Thanksgiving dinner at home this year and Nana was our guest of honor.  Everyone made something and everything was delicious.  Adam was in charge of the turkey for the first time and it was amazing.

First (Sponge) Bath at Home

Daddy and I gave MK her first sponge bath when she was a couple of days old.  She really didn't enjoy it but when it was over she felt great and cooed and made the sweetest little baby sounds.

Week One

This is what I get to stare at all day long.  So blessed!  Maryann Katherine wants to be held pretty much all day and all night and we are happy to oblige.  Look at this sweet little face.  Oh my, I love her so much.

She likes her comfy pink chair for short spans of time.

She catches sight of her hands every once in awhile and is already pretty interested in them.

She loves her Nana.

And she thinks her Daddy hung the moon.

This little girl is perfect.

Absolutely Perfect.

Sisters and Brothers

I am so glad that my children have each other to play with, to watch over, to fight with, to grow with, to laugh with, and to love.

Superman flew in to hold Maryann Katherine.  Hogan wanted to hold her, but only in the form of his alter ego.  He takes it really seriously.  He held her for a pretty long time and I thought his arms might be getting tired so I kept asking him if he was ready for me to take her.  He kept saying, very stoically, "It's your choice."  I love that my little girls have such a wonderful big brother to look out for them.

And I pray that these two little girls will grow up to be the best of friends!

Maryann Katherine Trinque

I woke up at 5 am on November 13, 2011 because I wasn't feeling very good.  I took a shower and then told Adam I thought I might be in labor.  We waited a little while because I wasn't sure but decided to head to the hospital around 6 am.  We got there around 6:30, and after waiting around for close to an hour the nurses finally realized they should hurry up and get us to a room.  An hour and a half later, at 9:16 am, our little angel was born.  She is perfect.  She is everything we dreamed she would be.  We are all head over heels in love with her and can't picture our little family with out her in it. Maryann Katherine Trinque was born weighing 8 pounds and was 19.75 inches long.  Thank you God for our precious miracle.

A few hours later Nana brought Hogan and Lauralee to meet their new little sister.  They were SO excited and Hogan brought the sweetest picture he had drawn of me and Maryann (He always calls her Maryann Katherine).  Lauralee climbed right up on the bed with me and couldn't wait to hold her.  Hogan said he was too shy to hold her at that moment in time.

We are so thankful that Nana was able to be here with us and we couldn't have done it without her!

Hogan really wanted to stay at the hospital with us.  Luckily we got to go home the next day.

Maryann Katherine was not too thrilled with her carseat.

But once we got home she slept like a baby :)

You are so very loved Maryann Katherine Trinque!
