We were able to take Hogan and Lauralee to Sea World for the day and we had SO much fun. We loved the shows, the animals, the GIANT turkey legs, and the great quality time that we spent together. If you ask H and L what their favorite part of the trip was they will tell you it was when the pirate's pants fell down during the seal and walrus show. Hogan was cracking up so hard that the people in front of us were turning around and looking at us. The pirate DID have heart boxers on so I guess it was pretty darn hilarious ;)

To the Beach We Go
We took the kids to the condo for a weekend. It was a little cold but that didn't make it any less fun. We got there pretty late on Friday night. The kids were so excited to be there that they spent at least an hour just running back and forth down the hallways. Maryann was so funny. She can really hang with Hogan and Lauralee now and wants to do whatever they are doing. Lauralee got to sleep on the top bunk of a bunk bed for the first time while we were there. She is pretty proud of that. Maryann almost got eaten by sea gulls because she made the mistake of dropping a cracker on the sand while we were at the beach...they appeared out of no where and were only about 6 inches from our faces...SCARY. Then they formed a circle around us and kept inching forward. There were at least 15 of them. I am pretty scared of birds and felt like I was actually in the movie, The Birds. Luckily Hogan chased them all off for us, which he thoroughly enjoyed doing. We took the kids to John's Pass and got them ice cream. Hogan picked Superman Ice cream and Lauralee picked Bubblegum Ice cream. I will be kind of sad when the gross flavors start to actually seem gross to them. Maryann chose to opt out of ice cream... to make her Mama happy. The gulf was freezing, it felt like a glass of ice water. But L and H still managed to get soaked and preceded to beg us to take them in swimming. Neither Adam nor I were up for that one. Maybe next time. MK liked playing in the sand but she agreed with us that the water was a little too cold.
Born to be Best Friends
Hogan and Lauralee asked me to take a picture of them. Here they are... Best Friends. They are mischievous and think anything that can be categorized as "potty" talk is HILARIOUS! They have very elaborate games that they play and are so imaginative. Sometimes they give each other a hard time but for the most part they are so incredibly kind, loving, giving and helpful toward each other. I love how much they love. I could stare at these two sweet faces all day long. I pray that they will always love each other and cherish each other as much as they do in this time of their lives. When I see the way they love each other I think I must be doing something right.
My Fancy Little Lady
This 14 month old little girl doesn't just like shoes and jewelry, she LOVES them. She is borderline obsessed with them. She empties out my closet of shoes daily and wears them around the house. She is a pro at walking in high heels, but she doesn't stop there... she also dances and jumps in high heels. If she sees a pair of shoes laying around somewhere, no matter whose they are, they are on her feet in a matter of seconds. The only thing that can rival her love of shoes is her love of jewelry, specifically necklaces. Several times a day she gets out as many dress up necklaces as she can and models them around the house. It is usually the first thing she does when she wakes up in the morning. If she can get her hands on one of Lauralee's necklaces that is even better. She knows where we keep L's jewelry box and will point to it and ask (yell) to have one to wear. Naturally, I am loving it. My Maryann has such a big and amazing personality, she cracks us up all day, every day. She is a handful but I wouldn't want it any other way. And I am really, REALLY hoping we wear the same size shoes when she grows up because I have a feeling she is going to have an amazing shoe collection.
