Dating

Adam and I have been wanting to take each of our kids on "dates" or solo outings for awhile now and we were FINALLY able to make it happen.  I went on a date with Hogan and when we got home Adam went on a date with Lauralee.  It was wonderful and so much fun to spend one on one time with them.  We are going to do it again and switch kids.  Hopefully one more time before Adam starts residency.  H and L were SO excited to go.

Before we left Hogan told me he was "expecting it to be exciting".  He also requested that I take him somewhere to eat (the kid loves to eat).  We went to Coney Island for lunch.  He had never been there before and he loved just looking around at everything. His favorite food was the fried pickles. We spent about an hour there because he eats even slower than I do ;)  He was pretty impressed by the Hogan's Drugstore sign from PopPop's drugstore that was hanging by the water fountain.  When we left there we went and got some frozen yogurt and just sat and talked.  When our date was over he told me he was ready to go again...now please.

Adam took Lauralee to Tom Varn Park.  They played and played and played.  Adam told me that he was really impressed by how great L's imagination is and how much fun she is to play with.  She would come up with these elaborate scenarios for the games they were playing... love that girl.  After that they got a chocolate sundae from McDonald's and L kept saying, "This is SOOO good".  After a quick stop at the dollar store they came home toting a gift for Hogan as well.

We really love these kids.  Maryann, too.  But right now I have dates with her in the middle of the night...some nights more than one.  So we are getting lots of one on one time ;)

When L plays house she HAS to be called "big mama".  It is so funny.  Not mama, not little mama, only big mama.  And therefore that is what she is called.  After we put H and L in bed every night they spend at least an hour playing an ongoing game of "Mommy and Daddy", or I guess I should say "Big Mama and Daddy".

L's friend Mary is still around and still getting into lots of mischief.  Lauralee is always telling me the naughty things that good ol' Mary does.

Sometime's L tells us that she doesn't like boy stuff anymore, only girl stuff.  She has started wearing her high heel dress up shoes and getting all fancied up with necklaces and bracelets.  However, she can still hang with the best of the boys and give any one of them a run for their money.  And she can still play a mean game of super heroes.

This girl LOVES LOVES LOVES having her back scratched.  One day Adam was scratching my back and I got up to help MK.  The second I was up L plopped down, rolled over, and lifted up her shirt.  She is too funny.

MK is 7 Months Old

My oh My we LOVE this baby girl!!

Maryann is so sweet.  She smiles all the time.  She is super ticklish.  She loves playing peek-a-boo.  She can crawl (backwards) and is going to be an unstoppable force in a matter of days.  She has started eating solids much better and can even feed herself puffs.  She wants to be wherever Hogan and Lauralee are and is dying to join in with all their wild ways.  I love to hug and cuddle this baby.  She is so kissable.  She likes to hold on to my hair or grab my nose when I am feeding her.  She always smiles when I kiss her but never stops looking around, making sure she always knows what is going on.  This beautiful little girl is SO LOVED!!!

The Long Drive and More

We survived the -oh.so.long- drive from Cleveland to Brooksville and were blessed to have Noni, Nana, and Grandpa to make the trek with us.  But, oh yes, it was long.

Once we got to Florida, Maryann went for her first swim in the pool.  She wasn't too happy at first because the water felt pretty cold but she ended up liking it.

The kids have been having a great time playing with their cousins and Adam and I have been working hard to get unpacked and settled.
