Siblings

I LOVE how much these three kids LOVE each other.  They are best friends and I hope they always will be.  When ever MK wakes up from a nap H and L run into her room and jump into the crib with her.  She absolutely loves it.  She follows them around all day and wants to be where ever they are.  Her favorite thing to do is to wrestle with them.  She laughs so hard the whole time that she can hardly breathe.  Hogan carries her all over the house and she has the hugest smile on her face while he does.  I am so blessed to have these three children... God is so good.

Oh, the Things We Do For Our Kids

Yep.  We dressed up like cows and went to Chick-Fil-A to get free meals.  I told Hogan and Lauralee about it and I really didn't think they would want to do it, knowing Hogan I was sure he would think it was too embarrassing.  But they got so excited about it so I went with it.  They really loved it, and they took it so seriously.  Maryann came too but did not partake in the Chick-Fil-A deliciousness.  We met Marinda and her cute little calves there and  they all had a blast.  Hogan, Lauralee, and Maryann all cried hysterically anytime the Chick-Fil-A mascot approached them, but other than that it was a winner.

Life Lately

We went to a 4th of July Fireworks show and shocker of all  shockers, my kids actually LOVED it!  The last time we took H and L to see fireworks it was a major meltdown scene and on the way home H told us he liked "quiet stop signs, NOT loud fireworks".  I guess time has changed that.  They couldn't take their eyes off of them.  They got so excited and were shouting out all the colors they saw.  Priceless.  MK wasn't as into them but the noise didn't bother her at all, it probably made her feel at home ;)

We have been doing lots of swimming.  Adam has been trying to teach H and L how to swim sans water wings but it is a work in progress.  They will both go under the water now and hold their breath but they still tend to sink.  Hogan loves to jump "from the high part".  They are so excited when Adam gets home from work because that means they get to go swimming and he is WAY more fun in the pool then I am.

We have been doing a lot of just hanging out.  For awhile we only had one car so the kids and I were pretty much stranded while Adam was at work.  Hogan and Lauralee are such wonderful big brothers and sisters to MK.  They adore her.  And she adores them. Hogan dotes on her and takes remarkably great care of her considering he is only four.  If I have to run downstairs and do something or even take a shower he will babysit her.  He amazes me.  I think he amazes her too ;)  

8 Months Old!

My sweet little baby is 8 months old.  She is an expert crawler, and is usually crawling to Hogan and Lauralee's room.  She loves to open drawers and cabinets.  She only wants to feed herself and her favorite food is toast.  She waves and claps and mimics sounds.  If H and L are being loud and wild MK is right there with them.  She is obsessed with trying to pull up to standing now and she is SO PROUD of herself when she manages to do it.  She has her front two bottom teeth -- so cute!  She loves to drink water from a cup and bathtime is one of her favorite times of the day, especially when she gets to take one with her favorite people.

Amelia Island

Six years later Adam and I finally made it back and it was just as wonderful as we remembered.  We stayed at the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge, ate at PLAE, lounged on the beach, walked around down town, went to the beach where we got married, and dreamed of someday living here... maybe we'll strike it big and actually be able to afford the taxes.
