Happy Valentine's Day

Adam and I are very THANKFUL because we have the FOUR sweetest, most amazing little VALENTINES in the whole wide WORLD!!!

We started Valentine's Day out with a soccer game for Hogan and Lauralee and surprised all the kids with a Valentine's Party when they got home.  

Valentine's Festivities

Lauralee told me a few months ago that Valentine's Day was her favorite holiday so I decided to make a big deal about it this year.  We got out our Valentine's Day Mailboxes on February 1st and I left the kids cute little Valentines and treats every morning.  I tried to leave notes telling them some of the MANY things I love about them as well.  They filled each other's boxes and ours with cards and pictures and love notes as well.  So much fun!

Here they are holding the "Puzzle Love Note" I left each of them.  They had to put it together and glue it onto the paper in order to read it :)

Here they are modeling their Valentine's Hershey Kiss Ring Bling.  Maryann found Hogan's (he was saving it) and ate it before anyone noticed.  I caught her throwing the wrapper away.  Little Stinker.

We made heart garland and Valentine's crafts...

And Adam and I prepared a big Valentine's Day morning surprise for them.  

We went to a Valentine's Day Party with Homecircle and had a wonderful day.  We are so lucky to have so many people to love.

We busted out our Valentine's Day mailboxes again this year and Hogan and Lauralee got really into it.  We were all showered daily with wonderful, sweet cards and notes filled with love.  Each day leading up to Valentines day I left them a little love note telling them something I love about them in their box, and a little treat if they were especially lucky.  We went to a fun Valentine's Day party with Home Circle and had our own Valentine's Day party here.

Adam and I have a rule about not spending money on Valentine's Day... actually on pretty much every day of the year.  But this year we each secretly decided to splurge.  Here is the gift I got for Adam.  

And great minds must think alike because he gave me a can of pecans :)  And a really sweet love note.  He's a keeper!!!

Celebrating Love

We don't usually do anything all that special for Valentine's Day but this year it seemed like too much fun to pass up, and it was.  Hogan and I cut paper strips and made a Valentine's Day paper chain, we decorated the kitchen with floating phrases from candy hearts, and blew up a few balloons (by far L's favorite decoration).  We had friends over for a festive breakfast filled with hearts and pinkness.  I love my Valentine's, all 3 of them!

We even had Valentine's Pizza for dinner...

Then we ended the day with a Spin Class in a feeble attempt to counteract the massive amount of calories consumed in the name of love ;)
